MPA Current Student Panel

October 8, 2026, 12:00 - 12:45 pm EDT

What is it really like to be a Master of Public Administration (MPA) student at Cornell? Join us on October 8 for a virtual conversation moderated by Mary Garin, Associate Director of Masters Programs, and featuring current MPA student panelists who will share firsthand what it’s like to live, learn, and lead as part of the Brooks community.

During this session, you’ll get an inside look at the MPA experience directly from students navigating the program today. From choosing a concentration and finding internships to academic life, faculty support, and building connections, you’ll hear how students make the most of their time at Cornell and in Ithaca.

In this session, we’ll cover:

  • Choosing a concentration and customizing your MPA experience
  • Internship and other hands-on opportunities
  • Navigating academics and coursework
  • Building supportive relationships with faculty and fellow students
  • What it’s like to live and thrive in Ithaca
  • Tips for applying to the MPA
